What may we be?
Someone I know recently responded with a comment to the above Shakespeare quote with the words 'Que Sera Sera.' Would Shakespeare have put it so succinctly? Were Shakespeare's words intended to be more subtle? Not knowing what awaits in the future is human fate. However, what will be will be is not quite the same as 'what we may be'.
We may have no control over what the future has in wait for us. Nor can we say how it will affect us. Yet if the moment arrives and we have the choice to decide what we may be will we take it?
Of course the more important question we should be asking our self is do we want to know what we may be? Should we make the effort to find out?
